Shayarana evening in Lucknow
This evening was aptly named - 'Ek Shaam Shayari Ke Naam' that had well-known poets Khushbir Singh Shaad & Bharat Bhushan Pant.
The dinner get-together also doubled up as a charming evening for shero-shayari. And it was aptly named – Ek Shaam Shayari Ke Naam that had well-known poets Khushbir Singh Shaad and Bharat Bhushan Pant who made the evening even more special with their ghazals and nazms.
Adding a touch of elegance was Ravi Nagar who was crooning ghazals penned down by the two poets. Nagar enthralled the audience as he sang the lines, Is andhere mein koi rah dikha de, kho gaya hoon main mujhe mera pata bata de rabba... followed by a ghazal – Khwaab toot jaate hai...
With the mood set for shero-shayari, Anis Ansari, IAS, also recited some of his favourite shers. The chairman of the club also got others like RN Bharagava, secretary of the club also to recite a few nazms. The highpoint of the evening though was the felicitation of poets Shaad and Pant, as their wives Kamaljit Kaur and Monika Pant looked on.
Also spotted: Adding to the high profile list were R Ramni with wife Seetha, VN Channa, SVM Tripathi with wife Indu and Anant Jauhari.
